Learn a sequence of Yoga Poses, Breath Techniques and Deep Relaxation to bring balance to Body, Mind and Soul. This course invites you to learn and develop an understanding of Yogic practices and underlying principles such as:


  1. Classic Asana (stretches or postures)

  2. Relaxation Practices and Yogic Techniques for Stress Management

  3. Meditation Practices

  4. Yoga and Health


Ancient Yogis knew that all aspects of the human systems were interrelated; the physical body, breath, mind and intelligence, personality, and emotions.

More recently, the fields of medicine, psychotherapy, science and physics acknowledge this also. These days we all agree, that to achieve happiness and feel our best, we need a balance of physical, mental, emotional, social and spirit(ual) aspects of our lives.

We know that what influences the body, influences the mind, and the opposite is also true.  We know that the breath affects the mind, without breath, we live for only a few minutes, yet few people breathe efficiently.

The food we eat, our lifestyle, the company we keep, our emotional state, all affect the mind, and the workings of the entire human system; blood sugar levels, sleep/wake cycles, immunity and major internal organs.

Yoga is a complete system that comes from a vast body of teachings that provides a wide array of tools to achieve excellent health, happiness and our greatest potential, through a holistic view of the human being.

The tools that yoga utilises include physical exercises, breathing practices, dietary recommendations, lifestyle recommendations, personal practices, philosophies for living with positive intention, relaxation practices, and meditation.

Yoga can help bring the balance you want into your life; improved fitness, ideal weight, stronger will, greater connection with nature and the things important in life, increased mental alacrity, and more calm.

In the 6 Week Beginner Yoga Course, learn classic Yoga poses, deep relaxation, mind-body awareness, and develop an understanding of the techniques of the system of Yoga to bring balance to your body, mind and spirit.
